Happy Thanksgiving

We hope your family has enjoyed a day of thanksgiving for the blessings the Lord has showered upon each of you.

A couple of highlights from our day. We have always made our trek up to Alan’s folks place for the first of two meals and nothing happened to make that any different this year. It was wonderful to see the extended family and catch up on new things in their lives. Megan decided to add a little excitement to our festivities by trying to be like her older cousin and try out the BMX ramp by running up and down it. Unfortunately one misstep resulted in a dive to the concrete that gave her a great road rash right on the face. So much for a family photo at Thanksgiving.

We then headed over to my mom’s for our second meal of the day. We were a little late in arriving due to a late nap Megan took. I was pleasantly surprised to find my cousins Greg and Doug came in addition to my Uncle Ray and his wife Virena. I had not seen Doug in probably 20+ years and it had been several (probably 10+) since seeing Greg. It was a very nice surprise and I enjoyed catching up with them a bit while watching some football on TV.
