Mama and Megan flying solo

Alan headed off bright and early this morning for a 10 day business trip to Hong Kong and mainland China. Mama is just hoping to survive till he returns. On the bright side, Megan's cold is nearing the end and we all survived just fine. Although on Friday night we experienced another what we now believe to be cold driven throw up. This time Megan got mama and it was a doosy! Luckily mama was able to contain it and not get any on her friend's couch (thankfully it was a leather couch so cleanup would have been much easier had the containment field failed). Not so lucky was mama's shirt - it was drenched. I feel like I've been inducted into full mamahood now!

In other news, Megan will get to meet her Grandpa Clausing this coming weekend when mama's dad comes in for a visit. Hopefully the weather will continue to be nice and we can enjoy the great outdoors a little bit. His visit will be right in the middle of this long stretch without Alan so it will be a nice change of pace.
