Happy New Year

Today was the long awaited Chinese New Year celebration with our Families with Children from China group (FCC). We had beautiful weather at the building in Balboa Park where the event was held.

Megan was dressed in her Chinese finest. The room was filled with over 40 familes all having children adopted from China. It was great to show Megan around to the many people who supported us in our adoption wait. We also met many waiting families. It is always exciting to share in the excitement of others. There were many activities including a book signing by Grace Lin, a slide show and silent auction. But the highlight of the event was the Lucky Lion Dancers. The lion dancers went around the crowd and did a great job at fascinating all of the kids. It was a great way to welcome in the Year of the Dog 2006.
