Daddy comes home and we celebrate the 4th of July!

We started out this year's 4th of July celebration rejoicing in Daddy's coming home from his Hong Kong/China business trip. He brought all sorts of fun gifts for Megan that she thoroughly enjoyed! After that we headed out to the local park to celebrate our nation's independence. As ususal, we had a terrific time with friends enjoying great food and playing some fun games like spoons (man that takes me back!) Unfortunately last year's success of Megan liking the fireworks did not continue forward to this year. Megan decided she did not like the big noises from the fireworks! By the time the first fireworks faded she was already in my lap, arms wrapped tightly about my neck and not wanting to even look at the pretty fireworks. Hopefully next year will be different, plus I think we'll bring some ear protection for her so that she might enjoy the beauty of the fireworks display.
