my sincere apologies to you for the less than stellar frequency of our posts! Life with a toddler is busier than I thought it would be! I'm sure all you fellow parents out there are just chuckling at that one!!! Okay so here are the last few things we did in August.

Birthday Party for Samantha and Allyn
We enjoyed celebrating birthdays for Samantha (3) and her dada Allyn. It was of course a very hot August day and so the kids enjoyed the pool and making bubbles outdoors while the parents attempted to keep cool with drinks and shade. Megan rode her first roller coaster and seemed to enjoy it - mama's happy about that!! Alan got a chance to try out his newly designed puppet stage for a Happy Birthday show which was a hit with everyone! With a few minor adjustments here or there the Vic & Vern Show may just come to your neck of the woods soon ;) Here are a few pictures (you of course can go over and see more in Megan's Photo Gallery)

Chris' Homecoming Celebration
Our next big event was homecoming celebration for Alan's cousin's son from Iraq. It was wonderful to see everyone and get a chance to catch up with Chris and his wife Hallie. Megan of course was cute as a button and charmed everyone, especially her Mimi. Thankfully Megan slept on the way up and so was all fresh and ready to have fun.

Presents from Virginia
We got a package of presents from my sister and it was fun to watch Megan enjoy the thrill of opening them up - I think she's gonna be a pro this Christmas! Here are some of the pictures of Megan enjoying her presents (big huge thanks Jacque, Rich and Kyle!!!)


The doggie was the big hit! She loved "wearing" him around the house.


This precious blanket was made by Megan's Great Grandma (who recently passed away) and she loved it.
