Christmas 2006

It was fun to see Megan get into the Christmas spirit this year. She's growing up so fast - hard to believe a year has gone by since she came home.

We spent Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa's and Megan played Santa's assistant passing out gifts to everyone. She was so cute trying to carry some of the bigger gifts but she was one determined little girl. She got into the traditional pelting each other with wrapping paper balls - doing a much better job at aiming than I do! It was fun to watch her get into opening her presents and then get excited about her gifts. Her favorite was the first opened - a new baby doll with carrier and accessories. Daddy had the chore of extricating all the parts from the packaging and the first one Megan wanted was the bottle so she could feed her baby.

We headed over to Mimi and Papa's very late Christmas Eve and woke up to celebrate Christmas morning. We had fun opening our stockings and leisurely making our way towards the opening of gifts. We enjoyed some fabulous cinnamon sticky buns from a recipe that our nephew Jason brought home from school - Megan enjoyed stealing a bite or two from her cousin Matthew's plate. Probably the gift she enjoyed the most at Mimi and Papa's was her new grocery cart and playfood. Everytime we go shopping she clamors to ride in the grocery cart and so the first thing she did was to put her new baby into the grocery cart to give her a ride - too cute!

We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas this year. It is a time when we celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Put your imagination caps on and invision Megan singing Happy Birthday to Jesus... it is her most favorite song to sing right now and she can do it pretty well.
