Happy Chinese New Year

So our understanding is that the tradition for Chinese New Year is to put a red envelope with money inside under the children's pillows the night before CNY. So we told Megan as we were putting her to bed that night that when she woke up in the morning that there was going to be something special under her pillow. So the next morning rolls around and we greet her at her door and ask if she found the surprise under her pillow. She excitedly ran to her bed and lifted her pillow but didn't quite see the envelope. So we told her to look again and with a little help from us she found her red envelope. She shook it and then opened it up and exclaimed "money". We let her put her money into a little "smarties" tin box and she's been having fun shaking her money ever since.
